Hello Everyone. Hope you are all enjoying your summer. I know I am. I usually have a large vegetable garden. This year we are growing puppies and they are doing very well. Our first group of six puppies who arrived in Vermont June 12th have all found forever homes and Spirit and Jasmine, the adorable pups we pulled at six weeks old and had the honor of naming, arrived last Saturday and will be attending our adoption event at Orvis Sunday July 3rd from 11am - 4pm.
Little Joey finally has his cone off since his foot has healed and he started his antibiotics as part of his treatment for heartworms on the Summer Solstice. The antibiotics are to help weaken and destroy the heartworms before his injections. He loves rolling around in the grass and will love playing and walking once he is able. He is only allowed walking for potty breaks until after his heartworm treatment is complete.
June has been a wonderful month of growth for the rescue. I am grateful to everyone who has helped us grow and I am looking forward to July :)
